Missing mobile/data.js when publish to HTML5

Dec 11, 2012

Hello dear all,

I have a problem with publishing to HTML5. It seems like Storyline doesn't create mobile/data.js file. A flash version runs ok, while html5 one gives the error file missing mobile/data.xml.

As far as I understand the HTML5 data is stored in the "mobile/data.js" file. But this file is missing in my output folder.

Any suggestions?

My working file is about 200MB and output one is about 70MB.

Hi Oksana,

When you go to view the HTML5 content, you'll want to view the story.html file. This file should point to the HTML5 content, if it's supported in the viewing environment (browser, etc.). For more information on this, check out this tutorial which explains how to publish a course for HTML5.

Also, you might want to check out this knowledge base article. It provides a helpful chart that shows what content is supported in HTML5, Flash and Mobile.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Thanks!

Christine

Thanks for your answer Christine.

The HTML5 data is stored in the "mobile/data.js" file. When I publish my presentation this file is missing in output folder. So no matter if I want to open story.html or story_html5.html. There is no file for html5 output.

But thanks anyway. I've already submitted the case.
