Missing object while importing PPT slides
Feb 11, 2015
Hi Support team,
I work with the storyline 2.0. It is an amazing application to work. But I face a serious problem/issue while importing PPT a set of slides in the scene. PPT slides are synchronized with voice over and animated. With these slides, I face an issue where many object and images are found missing in the storyline PPT slides. I cannot rework the same in the storyline again. Can you please let me know why this issue is occurring. Am I not doing with the proper procedure for importing the PPTs. Note that the PPTs are done in PowerPoint 2003 version.

Hello,
Maybe best to look at the requirements section: http://www.articulate.com/support/storyline-2/system-requirements-for-articulate-storyline-2
Scroll down the page for Compatibility and Integrations.
Hi Suresh,
You'll also want to make sure you're following the steps here to import from Powerpoint into Storyline, working from entirely local project files. It's also worth noting that importing from powerpoint isn't a true one to one conversion, so you may want to review the information here in regards to elements that won't transfer over as expected.
Thanks Jacob for your information. Actually the system is high end only.
We follow the proper procedure in importing the PPTs in the storyline application. Actually the PPT we have is integrated with may slides merged with bitmaps, images synchronized with the Voice over. Please let me have a good alternative to overcome this issue.
Hi Suresh,
Could you share a sample slide from powerpoint that when importing has missing elements?
Hi Ashley,
I am back to you with an issue in this application. You asked me for a sample slide which I am unable to share with as it is against our company policy. Now, I have an another issue to enquire. The Articulate Storyline when compared with PowerPoint, the insert option with Shapes is very weird to notice that some of the features is missing in AS with that of PPT. The connecting arrows, one ended arrow heads, double side ended arrow heads etc., which also makes me cumbersome in editing the imported PPT slides.
Hi Suresh,
Storyline and Powerpoint are two different pieces of software, so not everything is the same across the board. If you've added elements into Powerpoint and are curious how they'll import in to Storyline you may want to review the information here.
