Hi...I have a slide that has a line of text that "wipes" in. When the text first appears, it only shows the bottom half of the text for a second, and then after the wipe is finished, the rest of the text shows. Anyone experience this phenomenon?
and project file attached. If you click the link and then go to the menu and then to "Web Source"...when the first citation appears (after the title), the letters are cut off at first. This is just an example...it is happening randomly in various slides of different tutorials.
I see the behavior, but I can't figure out what's causing it. That text box does the same thing even when copied into a new blank project all by itself. Have you tried re-creating that object? Maybe someone else here will be able to figure out the cause.
Thank you so much for looking at this! I assumed we were all trying to move away from Flash, though...many times it will not even run on my computer because of an old plugin or extension, or for whatever other reason browsers won't play it. Most of our workstations at the school are updated on a schedule, and the user doesn't have control over when Flash gets updated. We are trying to publish everything in HTML5, but maybe we are just not there yet.
On that note...just wondering...do most Storyline users still publish as Flash w/HTML5 fallback?
I just did the Flash/HTML5 publish to check if the issue was in your Storyline file or dependent on the published HTML5 output - which it appears to be.
I would submit a case with Articulate to see if there is a workaround for you and to log it as a potential bug.
Sorry that's happening--we're seeing that behavior, too. Like Wendy said, this only happens in HTML5, not in Flash. We're working on this with the team, and we'll let you know as soon as we have a fix.
Thanks again for giving us a heads up about this problem, and I'm sorry if it's causing a slow-down for you!

Can you post a project file showing this behavior?
Here is a link to the tutorial on the web: http://dev2.nightowlresources.com/mla/story.html

Hi Deirdre
It appears to be an issue with the HTML5 output. I republished your file to 'Flash with HTML5 fallback' - here is a link to view it.
Here is a peek video previewing it in Flash - the text behaves as expected.

Hi there Deirdre,

Hey Deirdre,
Good news! We fixed the issue you reported where:
Install the latest Storyline 360 update to take advantage of all the recent features and fixes. Here's how.
If the problem happens again, please record a Peek 360 screencast for me, and I'll be happy to help!
