Mixture of Free and Restricted Menu
Feb 26, 2016
Hi there,
I was wondering if there is solution to have a mixture between Free and Restricted Menu.
What i need is that the users could NOT go directly to the next topic (menu item) before they have seen the current one. If I set the menu to Restricted i get that result.
However, they need to watch the current slide until the end. There are slides with videos etc. that the user may want to skip by clicking the Next button. The problem here is that when the menu is Restricted the Next button would only work if the user had seen the slide until the end.
Any ideas how to combine the two approaches?
I see now that there is a way to tackle that one https://community.articulate.com/discussions/articulate-storyline/sl2-restricted-menu-navigation-and-next-button-solution-workaround
Any other options please?
Thank you in advance
Bob

Hi Bob,
The thread you linked to is the one I also would have pointed you to - so I'd defer at this point to the community to weigh in with some other ideas or options based on what they've set up.
Thank you Ashley, I have tried the solution proposed in the thread and so far it seems tip-top.
Thank you so much for all the prompt answers.
This is one of the reasons I bought Storyline - the community and support are second to none.
Cheers
Bob
