Thanks for reaching out! At the moment, custom tabs can only display additional slide content or trigger actions like exiting a course. You can read more about that here in the user guide.
I appreciate you sharing the need for an additional notes tab and would be happy to share it with our product team. Feel free to detail them as well with a feature request.
