Thanks so much for bringing this to our attention. With the help of your sample file and detailed testing steps, I was able to reproduce the same behavior in a fresh file.

Any progress on this? Some clients require the Exit tab to be added and visible for LMS tracking to occur. This is a big issue if the tabs aren't visible. I've downloaded the latest version, and I'm still seeing this as an issue for any top player tabs I add when the side bar menu starts collapsed.
This is still an open issue that we are looking into, so no update to share at this time. This thread is attached to the report so that we can update you when we can.
The workaround that we have listed is to place the Menu in the sidebar so the Tob Tab displays as expected, but we certainly understand that it is not ideal.
Thanks Leslie for the update! Everyone is asking for the new player. It's sad that it's not useable at this time for those of us who require an exit button. Please keep us posted! I can't wait to tell people we can use it.

One of the fixes addresses an issue where topbar tabs were missing when the sidebar was collapsed in the modern player.
Here’s how you can update Storyline 360 to take advantage of everything the latest release has to offer. Let me know how you make out!
