Mouse - Visual Option is only Double Click?

Quick question...
I am not using audio in the software simulation I am creating, so I don't need click sounds for the mouse. I do, however, need to visually show the user to SINGLE-click the mouse when they click on something.
The red spinning circle that simulates the "mouse-clicking" affect actually clicks two times when it's previewed. That probably seems trivial, but our clinical info system has mostly single clicks for access; and if the user double clicks, it will mess them up.
Is there a way to create a visual single click? Thanks!

There is not a way to change the visual appearance of the mouse click. You can submit a feature request here. Would you be able to only use the mouse sounds without other audio?
