Moving forward with Restricted Nav and background music
Dec 10, 2014
Hi! I use restricted nav with all of my courses and need some help figuring out how to work around the new timeline restrictions SL2 creates with this option.
On my welcome slide I have an audio file which starts playing music the moment the course is opened. I would like students to be able to move forward whenever they would like by clicking the next button, without the requirement that the timeline/music on this slide complete. Any ideas for workarounds for a single slide?
All together the new restrictions save me a ton of time so that I don't have to add variables for every slide, but there are occasional slides that I would like to be able to remove it from!
Thanks! Darcy

Hello Darcy!
You can make a custom Next button for these slides. A custom button with a jump to slide trigger will not be attached to the timeline, and you can even remove the built in ones for these slides.
