Multiple Conditions to restrict course navigation

Nov 16, 2016

Hello all-

For my course, I want learners to be required to view slides A, B, and either slide C  OR slide D before being able to take a final quiz. Is there a way I can do this with conditions on the trigger?

Thanks in advance!

Hi there Sarah! You can absolutely do this with variables and triggers. First, you'll need to create four True/False variables, one for each slide, all with the initial value of False. You can read more on creating variables here.

On each slide, create a trigger that adjusts the variable for that slide to True. Do this for all four slides. You can read more about creating triggers here.

Finally, on the slide right before the quiz, create this trigger:

And on that note, you might also want to think about what will happen if the user has not visited any of the four slides. Perhaps you can create a layer or a slide that will appear letting them know that they must visit at least one of the slides before taking the quiz.
