Multiple questions in scroll panel

Nov 11, 2012

Hi

We're looking into purchasing Storyline but wonder if the following is possible. We need to be able to replicate the layout of an English exam we are planning on producing courses for.

a) I know from this thread that it's possible to place multiple text entry questions on a single screen. Is it also possible to do this with multiple choice questions?

b) Is it possible to place these in a scrolling panel?

c) Will this function OK in the mobile iPad player?

Many thanks

Peter

Hi Peter,

as Christine mentions in this thread, It's not possible to have more than one actual question on one slide, except if you try David Anderson's creative use of freeform.

In A scrollbar object you can basically stock any kind of object. So yes you could do it.
Be aware, scrolling in a panel only works vertically and you can not alter the size of the scrollbar slider

Just out of curiousity, why put the question in a scrolling panel ?

Cheers

Geert

HI Geert

Many thanks for getting back to me so late on a Sunday as well! The exam format we'll be replicating is a listening test and can have up to 8 multiple choice questions on one screen. All questions need to be on show as the candidate may not catch one particular answer but if the others are clearly visible they won't be penalised. In the official computer based exam the questions appear in a scrolling window. The candidate listens and answers all the questions and then clicks 'submit', getting a total score. I thought David Anderson's workaround in a scrollable panel would do the trick. When you say the size of the scrollbar slider is set, do you envisage this being a potential problem?

Many thanks!

Peter
