Need a creative solution! Need to be able to add buttons that don't "Submit" to Hotspot quiz pages? (Please see image)

I am stuck. I have a software sim that works perfectly except - if you click the button to read the directions out loud it submits a wrong answer, because the button is outside the hotspot "Correct" answer.

I need a way to suppress the submission when a user clicks in the "Directions" bar but leave the rest of the screen "incorrect" except the hotspot.
