Hi, Craig -- So sorry to hear that you are having this issue! Can you please confirm that you are working locally on your C: drive? If you happen to be working on a network drive, you may experience odd behavior as described here that could impact your ability to save. 

Otherwise, if you are on the latest update and are consistently getting an error, I would recommend that you to work with our support team so that they can further investigate the error that you are receiving.
