Need some JavaScript Help

Ok,
I have a .js file containing my JavaScript function that is triggered by the click of a button. The JavaScript function collects some variables from the Storyline project and then sends them to a tracking database using the POST method.
I have had this working as a .exe when I have published it using the publish to CD option, however the course will need to be accessed via a browser so I need to publish it to the web.
When I do it no longer works, I know the code is good because it is the same as the .exe version.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
Stephen./

are you testing the web course online? for the javascript to work it must be online or tested via cd publish
Thanks Phil,
When you say online, do you mean that the project folder needs to be on the server?. Its a bit tricky as I am sending the file to someone else to test on their intranet so I am not sure how they are testing this.
Thanks for your help
Thanks Phil, I have just had it tested on the server and the results are being tracked.
Browser security will normally stop javascript running locally, may be that the browser is eyeing the intranet as local
Thanks Phil for helping out Stephen here!
