'Next' button glitch?
Aug 19, 2013
Hi,
The next and prev buttons on 2/3 slides in my project seem to be glitchy. When clicked on, they take a longer than usual for the slide to jump (either forward/backward). I've changed the setting to specify Next/Previous slide to the actual Numbering of the slides but that doesn't seem to make a difference.
I've also deleted one of the slides and recreated one from ground up and the glitch STILL remains. It's odd because it's only those 2 slides in particular and everything seems to be in order -- at least the settings are more or less identical to the other slides.
Has anyone else encountered this? Any suggestions out there?
many thanks,
Sebastian

Hi Sebastian and welcome to Heroes!
Without seeing your .story file it's hard to know for certain - but is there anything on those particular slides (animations, triggers, etc.) that could be delaying your "jump to next/previous" slide action? You mentioned recreating one of the slides from scratch, but have you tried to import your slides into a new Storyline file? That can sometimes solve glitches within the file.
If you'd like to share your Storyline file here I'm happy to take a look or if you'd prefer to submit it privately you can do so by filing a Support case.
Hi Ashley,
A belated 'thank you'! I managed to fix the bug. There was something in the preceding slide that didn't agree with the succeeding one - I believe it was because the text from the 1st slide had been cut and pasted from another software.
Thanks Sebastian for coming back to update the thread, and I'm glad you got it figured out!
