Next/Previous button appearing on mobile devices despite turned off

Aug 05, 2021

Hi, I have built a course with custom navigation. The player's Next/Previous button has been unchecked on all slides.  However, the player next/previous button appeared when reviewing the quiz slides on phone/iPad. When the quiz is reviewed on a PC, the next/previous button does not appear.

Can I know how can I switch off the next/previous button on phone/iPad?

Hello People!

When learners review a quiz (or revisit question slides they've already submitted), they should see Articulate Storyline's built-in Prev and Next buttons in the lower right corner of the player—even if you've disabled them throughout your course. These navigation buttons are necessary for learners to review quiz slides.

You mentioned that you don't see the Prev and Next buttons when the quiz is reviewed from a desktop computer, which makes me curious!

  • Are your learners getting stuck in Quiz Review because they have no Next button when viewing the course on their desktop?

If you could share your file here or privately here, I'd be happy to dig into this with you!

Is it possible to prevent them from reviewing questions? For some reason in a lesson I've created, despite no navigation to let them get back to a question, when they resume they seem to be able to. Its a problem because the questions are branching and depend on certain variables being set, so the in build prev/next breaks this behaviour and users get stuck. .

edit: as a workaround I added a trigger to hide the next/prev buttons on the question slide master.
