No Exit from Lightbox slide

Aug 05, 2014

I created a Engage interaction labeled graphic showing navigation instructions and imported it into Storyline to create a lightbox slide that launches from a tab labeled "Navigating This Course." When I publish the course for LMS or for Web and open the tab, the interaction works as it should but there is no exit button (X inside a red circle) on the upper right corner. I can find no way to return to the course from the lightbox slide.

I tried setting the interaction to open in a new browser window and that works but it may confuse my learners about how to return to the course.

Is there a setting in Engage I should be looking at? A setting in SL player? A work around???

Hi Jo,

You can attach it here using the paperclip icon at the top of the reply window. If you'd prefer to share privately or it's too large to share here (around a 20 mb limit for uploads in the forums, so you could always strip it down to a few slides with the Engage object) let me know and I can share another method with you.

I have the same issue. I have created a Glossary in Engage, and have added that as a web object to a layer in the Master slide so that learners can open the Glossary on any slide. The exit button, however, is not visible over the top of the web object, and the Hot Key I have set up for closing layers doesn't work either. The only option I can see is to have it open in a new window.
