Sorry for the trouble, Daniel.¬†Happy to help you get that ūüďŹ back!¬†

In addition to what you tried in your screenshot, let's see if we can bring the ruler back with these steps:

  • Go to the¬†View¬†tab on the ribbon and mark the¬†Ruler¬†box.
  • Right-click anywhere in your slide workspace and choose¬†Ruler.

If the ruler is still missing, a simple Storyline 3 repair should do the trick. Keep us posted on how you go!

Hi, Daniel. Thanks for the helpful Peek!

I've done some testing in Storyline 3, Update 6, where I see the same behavior. I'm going to share this with our team so that we can verify this is a bug. Sometimes my team catches errors in my logic, and we don't have a bug after all. Of course if that's the case, I'll let you know!

Thanks for bringing this up, and I'm so sorry it's slowing you down!

Hello again!

I still have some problems with guides.

None of this things work:

To create a new guide
Use any of these methods to create a new guideline:

Double-click a ruler to create a new guideline at that point.

Click a ruler and drag away from it to create a new guideline.

Right-click the slide where you want a new guideline to appear, then choose one of the guideline options. (options are grayed)

Tried with new projects, old projects, different size but nothing to do.

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for popping back in here, and I'm sorry you're still running into not being able to add additional guidelines!

I do want to confirm that I can replicate this issue as well and confirm that this is a bug. Here's some more detail about how we tackle bugs. I'm really sorry that I can't say if this issue will be fixed, but you're in the right place to stay updated on this bug's progress.
