Notes bullet color
Feb 02, 2015
Hello Community!
I have a Storyline 2 course where I'm using a blue background and white text for the notes panel (per client requirements). Any and all bullets within the notes panel of the course are showing up as black even though the text is white. Here are the things I have tried so far:
1. I have tried copying and pasting to and from several text editors in hopes of removing any residual/hidden formatting with no success.
2. In the player color settings, I made sure that any black colors were set to white, thinking that the bullet color might be attached to a different element. This didn't work.
3. I tried manually setting the color inside the Notes editor, which also did not work.
I did some digging in the forums, but haven't seen this issue covered. Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, what was your solution?
Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi Chad,
I'm following the steps here to adjust the notes formatting of my course in Storyline 2, and see that my text and my bullets are following the same color.
Do you have a sample .story file we could take a look at in terms of your slide notes and then how those are appearing?
Thank you for replying Ashley.
Here is a sample .story file I created directly from the source I'm using. I also included the published zip just in case you don't see the issue from within Storyline.
Let me know what you see or don't see.
Hi Chad,
Thanks for sharing the file.
Looking at your notes section I see the behavior you're describing and you'll need to adjust the bullets formatting color itself. I thought it would be easier to show you how to fix it in a video - so let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you Ashley!
I didn't even realize that the bullets had independent color within the notes panel. The notes are typically a "set it and forget it" sort of thing for me so it didn't cross my mind to check that.
I really appreciate your help.
No problem Chad - glad I could help. Normally I think they'd be set to "automatic" and match whatever you set your text too - at least that's how mine worked.
