This is a serious deficiency. 'Feature request' just submitted.
It is really tedious to have to split content onto separate layers and then display each layer (using a trigger and a condition) when a 'Next' button is clicked. Building up a screen of bullet text/images, etc. is something even PowerPoint can do!
And it gets worse - if there is an audio on each of these layers, when I click 'Next' to display another layer, the currently playing audio continues together with the new layer's audio. And no, I don't want to have to play/pause named audio files with a trigger. When you display a new layer, an audio that is playing on the layer you are leaving should stop.
A lot of people have been asking for this 'jump to a cue point' for many months. Where is it?
Totally agree and I will also enter a Feature Request.
In the meantime I use a pretty good workaround since a couple of months. You can have a look at a short sample here http://bit.ly/1hfLlOc .
I have two variant to this trick one with Cue Points and one without.
First I place the different objects in a sequence in the timeline at consecutive second boundaries. After that I add a Pause Timeline trigger a bit before every second boundary like stop at .95 , 1.95 etc. Finally I have a resume Timeline Trigger Onclick.
As you will see I also sometimes use a secondary layer in order to avoid cluttering the base layer. In this case do not forget to select "Prevent the user from clicking on base layer" in the secondary layer options.
I agree as well, and have submitted several feature requests in the past with no feedback nor apparent interest in them by Articulate, so I am reluctant to contribute further feature requests if no interest or action will be taken on them.
The short sample you reference in your post leads to a video that all in French and make no reference to Storyline. Is there another sample you can provide showing how you accomplish the workaround you mention?
I have an Drag and drop that animates in the timeline. So when the user gets it wrong, I reset the DnD. But it plays the animated frames and audio again. I would be nice to have it jump to a time or cue point.
In the past I made a second slide for this without the front part.
We just released the newest version of Storyline 360 (Build 3.38.21779.0) this morning, which brings the Jump to Time Trigger! This feature allows you to create unique interactions by using triggers that jump to different times or cue points on the timeline. For more details on this, please check out this knowledge base article!

Hi Nadine,
You can always share this idea in the form of a feature request!

I agree we really need this jump to cue point!
Hi David,
I hope you're able to share your thoughts in the form of a feature request as well.

Thanks for sharing Dominique :)
I have submitted a request :)

Hi Michael,
Just in case Dominique is not subscribed, you may want to reach out to him using the "contact me" feature on his profile.

Hey Liz,
This thread is quite a bit dated, but I do know we are tracking user requests for this feature now.
I wanted to share some information about how we manage these feature requests as that may be helpful.
I'll be sure to attach this conversation to the report so that we can pop in and update you here when we can :)
Hi Everyone,
Happy to share the good news!

The next step is to update Storyline 360 by heading to your Articulate 360 desktop app and clicking "Update" next to Storyline 360.
