I have completed a lot of work on several projects in Captivate 7, Mostly they are unfinished. I want to change my tutorial tool to StoryLine and my question is:
Can I continue to work on and complete the projects started in Captivate in StoryLine? If not can someone suggest a workaround as I do not want to start again?
Unlike Storyline, Captivate has a library that contains all media elements, e.g. sound files, bitmaps, etc. From the library, you can export (or even bulk export) media elements.

Storyline will not open captivate files, I don't think there is a workaround, it may be able to cut and paste some content.
Beyond exporting media elements (e.g. bitmaps, audio files) from the Captivate file's library and reusing them in Storyline, you need to start over.
Hi Ken,
Storyline will not open Captivate files, but you can insert the Captivate videos into Storyline using the method here.
Thank you all for your advice, it looks like I have a lot of work in front of me. :(
Cheers and all the best for the new year.

Ken, I'm curious why do you need to/want to abandon the work you have already done in Captivate and switch to Storyline?
Hi Michael, would you be able to outline how someone goes about the export from a cptx file?
