My first eCourses have been jumping right into the narration, but I'm afraid people may miss some good stuff. Does anyone have an example of a splash page to get the student to do a sound check without being annoying?
I've seen a few courses created by community members that start off with a slide and recordings. They usually say something along the lines of "This course contains audio.", etc.
Personally, I think it's a great idea to use something like this - it's simple and lets the user know that they should be able to hear the audio. If you want to add a little more to it, you could add some buttons to your slide that open layers with just simple recordings.
This is a great way to allow learners to adjust their volume, check their speakers, etc.

Best of luck with the project!
