I am using the drag and drop template and on every drop event I am displaying a layer with information. This works fine when the "Reveal drag items one at a time" checkbox is unchecked.
But when I use this option the next drag item does not appear after the previous layer is closed.
I set up a simple example, and the individual drag items appear one after the other even with the use of a layer. Can you take a look at my .story file and see if it works for you as well?
If your files are behaving differently, I wanted to offer a reminder to:
Work on your local drive (your C: drive).Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, includingfile corruption, loss of audio, and other unexpected behavior.
You should also make sure the directory pathto your project files and your published output is less than 260 characters(for example C:\Articulate).
Avoid using special characters, accents orsymbols in your file names.

I reviewed your file, and I do see how the drag & drop items are not completing their animations. I found an active report around Drag & Drag-drop items with animations set to reveal one item at a time, not working as intended. I will be including your comments on our report so we can be sure to provide an update when we have more details to share!
In the meantime, I applied a workaround to your file that allowed the other items to appear. Here are the changes I made:
I kept the animation for the first drag item and removed the animation from the rest of the items.
After doing that, the drag & drop interaction revealed each item!
