Page number Automatic

there is no automatic page numbering but one way is to set it up on the Master Layout using trigger and a  variable that displays on each slide - see rough sample attached.

Using Storyline 2 with May 2017 update; I tried utilizing the same concept to create page number - it works great until published. As an experiment I downloaded and published the example you provided and ended up with the same result - does not function in the published version.

Any idea what I might be doing wrong?

I updated the sample file to decrement by 1 when prev clicked - does the attached work for you?

It appears the issue is related to the selected output

When CD is selected, page number never changes as you advance through the slides.

When LMS is selected it works perfect. 

My main project has four scenes with multiple slides. Each scene utilizes variables for slide number and total slides per scene;  when I select CD - no work, when I select LMS numbers are working but now other items are not.

I never use the CD publish option so can't really say why it's not working.

Not sure what you mean by the above comment - what is not working?

Change state triggers and also When Timeline Starts type triggers are not working.

I have done the full repair, uninstall (including SL2Clean.bat) reinstall, adjust windows feature 

Just not having any luck

Have you tried creating a new project file and importing the current file in?

Happy to take a look if you want to upload it. Just identify which slides have the trigger issue.

Ok, this will show my limited computer skills - problem was Shockwave and Flash Player updates.
