# Paragraph before/after spacing in NOTES

Is there a Paragraph/after space option available for the NOTES field other than adding a line break?

Hi Sam!

I'm not quite sure what you're wanting to do. However, you can format the content of the notes by using the paragraph options along the top, like this:

Thanks!

Adding a line break will be ok, but in Presenter/PowerPoint, there were separate spacing controls for line spacing which you point out above, and paragraph spacing (the space only between paragraphs).

Easy to work around this with line breaks between paragraphs.

When I select the notes and change the paragraph spacing options as shown, it changes the space around the paragraphs in Storyline, but when I preview the slide or publish the course, the paragraph spacing of the notes are unchanged. Other changes to the notes, such as font type, font color, and font size all change, but the paragraph spacing stays the change. I have tried this with brand new course files on 2 different computers and the problem persists.

I really need to be able to add some paragraph spacing so the text isn't so crowded. Any suggestions on how to get this to work? Is there something I'm not doing? Does this work for other people? Thank you!

I agree and have had to introduce a blank line between paragraphs.  It is more space than needed, but it is better than no space.

Hello,

I'm having the same issue.

Did you find any solution? (other than adding a blank line)

No.  Blank lines are the answer.

Really? This isn't workable. I have 20+ courses, and there is no way I want to go through each one and do a hard return whenever I want spacing to appear in the player.
