I have a self-running demo of a software screen recording that I'd like to allow the user to pause by clicking on icons for more information at various points. It's easy enough to set up layers with the additional info to open when the user clicks but the animation (mouse movements, etc.) continue to run in the background. I've tried setting a trigger to Pause Media "Screen Recording Action" when the user clicks the icon but that doesn't seem to work. Maybe I'm going about it the wrong way... Any suggestions?

Hello Brett,
On your "Layer Properties", put a checkmark in the checkbox for "Pause timeline of base layer".

Hi Donna,
That was way too easy... Feel a bit embarrassed that I hadn't thought of that...
Thanks a lot!
Brett
Oh it happens! No judgment! For the longest time I didn't know there was an option to adjust the Layer properties!
