RESOLVED Play button audio clip before advancing to slide

I have a button on my slide and added a trigger to jump to another slide once the button is clicked. I want to add a sound effect to my button to makes a "click" noise when the user clicks it.

I have added a trigger to play the media when the user clicks the button, however, it does not play. It only plays if the user returns to to that slide with the button.

I have tried ordering my triggers so that the "play media" comes before jumping to the slide but that doesn't seem to work.

Any ideas on how to make the media play before the slide advances?

Have you tried setting it up so that the slide changes after the media completes?

I believe I tried that as well... perhaps I missed a step.

I made a variable and set it to false. I then added a trigger to adjust the variable to true once the media completes. I then add a condition to my button to jump to the slide if my variable is equal to true. Sound like I am following all the steps?

I'm not sure can you share the story file with us? You can just copy the slide in question and paste it into a new project and then attach that that file. It makes it easier to figure out what is going on.

For sure. I have attached an example of what I am trying to do. The media plays for the Layer 1 and Layer 2 buttons because those buttons are showing layers on the same slide.

However, I need the Layer 3 button to go to a different slide... this is the one I am having difficulties with.
