I am trying to remove the menu from showing up in the player and adding a resource tab. When I go in and makes those changes, hit save, and then click OK on the bottom, the changes are still not being saved. It is driving me bonkers! Help!!
As stated here, changes you make to the Articulate Storyline player aren't saved if you use the X in the upper right corner to close the Player Properites window.
This is true even if you use the Current Player > Save option prior to clicking the X to close the window. Clicking the X functions like the Cancel button. In other words, your changes will be canceled if you click the X to close the window.
Click OK to close the Player Properties window after making changes that you want to keep.

I am closing it out the proper way and it still isn't updating correctly. Specifically, it will not remove the menu bar and add in my resource tab. The color changes will apply, but these two in particular will not save. It is very frustrating.
I see, Leslie -- thanks so much for the confirmation, and could I also ask if you may have had a chance to run through the steps listed here to see if you find improvement?
The repair steps in #2 may do the trick, but if issues persist, you are definitely welcome to share your file and we will be happy to take a closer look! :)

Check your slides to make sure they are set to player defaults. Settings on individual slides override the player settings.
