If you put the question on a layer, you just need a "Show layer" trigger to reveal it. However, if you want to somehow "score" the answer, you'll need custom programming to do that. That would likely involve using conditions and variables.
An easier method would be to lightbox a standard Graded Question slide, because that lets you take advantage of the built-in quizzing functionality.
