PowerPoint not importing into Storyline,

Hello, 

I'm very new to Storyline and am therefore working my way through the tutorials to make sure I can make the most of my trial. However, I am really stumped as no matter what I do, the error message telling me that Powerpoint cannot be imported into Storyline keeps coming up when I try to import. 

I'm using the Powerpoint that was provided in the practice slides. This opens fine in Powerpoint. I have gone through all of the trouble shooting options but to no avail. I'm hoping I've missed something really obvious here, any tips would be gratefully received. 

 

I'm using windows 10, laptop..

We'll help you get past this roadblock. First, can you help with these key details?

  • What version of PowerPoint are you using?
  • What update of Storyline are you using? To check, click the Help tab > click About Storyline

  • Are the PowerPoint and Storyline files saved to a local hard drive (typically the C: drive?

Hello, Brian. Thanks for those handy details, and a warm welcome to the community!

While Storyline 360 works with 32-bit and 64-bit desktop versions of PowerPoint 2010-2019 and Office 365 (desktop version only), it isn't compatible with:

    • Office 365 web apps
    • Office 365 mobile apps
    • Click-to-Run versions of Office 2010

Is your version of PowerPoint installed to your local computer, or is it a web app? I'll be standing by!

Hi Katie, I am new on the community :) thanks for your previous answers. Actually, I'm having the same exact problem as Sam and 

My datas:

> PowerPoint Version: 1811. It's not a web/mobile app,  neither Click-to-Run version.

> Storyline Version: V3.21.17083.0 (it's a trial version)

> Files are saved on my HardDrive

Everything sounds great there! I'm curious to see if you'll run into the same import error on the latest Storyline 360 update (3.23.17522.0) – here's how to update the app to the latest one!

Could you give those steps a try and let me know what happens after? I'll be here!
