Is there a way to copy and paste an object on screen without having it offset? I would like to paste an object in the same position as the original, but I can't seem to find a way to do so. I find that I am wasting time trying to get the pasted object back into the same position as the original.
Hi, Jai -- Thanks for your question! Unfortunately, I am not aware of a way to turn off or prevent offset pasting. If you would like to share your thoughts or suggestions with our Product Development team, please feel free to do so using this form.
Hi Jai, even though this isn't available now on the same slide, you can use the Format > Size menu and select the Position tab. You can then check the position of the first image and quickly update the new image. Of course you can also use the Align menu and center the objects.
I'd like to add my vote for this feature. For a large amount of our animated objects (shapes filling, etc.) we use multiple images layered over each other and these images have to be aligned. The quickest way to do this would be to copy the bottom image, paste it in place, and use the change picture function to select the top image while keeping it aligned. I realize it seems like a small thing, but it would have a large impact on our workflow and time requirements.

Hi, Lu -- Thank you for sharing your suggestion with Jai, and I hope we hear back if it was helpful! :)
Lu's suggestion is currently the way I do it. I was hoping there would be a faster way however. Like an option to paste in place.
Understood, Jai -- hopefully, others can share some suggestions you can try, as well. :)
I agree. The offsetting of objects after being pasted is very inconvenient. A 'paste-in-place' option would be fantastic.
I would love to know how many times this has been added as a feature request :)
Almost every program that can paste has this feature....ctrl+alt+v - paste in place. The offset thing is SUCH A PAIN.

Hi Daniel,
There is a keyboard shortcut in Storyline 360 for Ctrl + Shift + D to Paste object in the same place as the original object.
Hopefully that will help you out :)
How did I miss this?! It's a Christmas miracle!!!!!!!
Woo hoo 🎉
You frequently have the answer I need. Thank you Leslie.
