Preview not working and trigger issues
Jan 13, 2016
I have rolled back Adobe Flash Player, as instructed and the preview appears. However, my triggers have now started to work indiscriminately (e.g., in slide preview but not in project preview). This is especially evident where I have hidden the ‘Next’ button, when the timeline starts. I am using a variable on the slide triggers and one on a button to change the state to normal. At this point, I have had to remove all ‘Prev’ buttons and the user must navigate to a previous screen using the ‘Menu’. Otherwise, the triggers “misfire” and the screen goes blank. These issues were not apparent before the roll back. Is it possible that one fix has inadvertently caused another problem? I had a case study in progress for several days but with no resolution in sight. I have uninstalled and reinstalled SL2 but the problem remains. If you have any insights, I would appreciate it.

Hi Chris!
I'm not familiar with the issue that you speak of, but Adobe and Microsoft have fixed the Flash Player bug that broke many applications just before the new year, including Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, and Articulate Studio.
Here's how to install the latest Adobe/Microsoft update so you can preview your e-learning projects, edit videos, and launch CD-published courses again.
You may want to update and see if this corrects the issue that you are seeing.
Hi Leslie,
Thank you. I appreciate the quick response.
Is there another way I can access the link? I am receiving an error message that the web page is not available.

Hi Leslie,
Thank you. I have worked with my IT team to update the Adobe Flash Player software. I also believe that the original file became ‘corrupted’ somehow and I have started to recreate all the slides in a new project. The testing so far is positive.
Thanks again,
Chris
Thanks for the update Chris. Glad that you're headed in a positive direction. Keep in mind that you can import slides into a new project.
