Typically that is the default folder for published projects, and the published files are not editable. If you did save the SL files themselves in that folder, you should see them with the .story file extension.
If you're not finding them, maybe you could search your hard drive for "*.story", which should show you where the original files are.
It looks like David has provided you with some helpful information with how to get back to your saved project files, which are the .story file extension.
