problem with animation and trajectory combination

Nov 28, 2023

Hello

I have a problem with this: I have a rectangle. when it appears, I have a zoom animation of 2 seconds and a straight T1 trajectory of 2 seconds too. which causes the object to move along this T1 trajectory while magnifying I would have liked to do the same thing at the exit: the object moves while shrinking and strangely it doesn't work.

I place a zoom animation at the output and when the animation zoom  begins, I place a reference point R1. then I create a second trajectory T2 and a trigger that says to move the object along T2 when the slide's timeline reaches R1 and nothing : it doesn't work that way!

does anyone have a solution ?

THANKS

Francois

I give the file as an example

Hello Francois!

I'm happy to help! I'm having a difficult time understanding exactly what you're looking to do on the slide. However, I did notice that the animation you added is a Fade animation and not a Zoom animation. Does that make a difference to what you're looking for on the slide?

Would you mind sharing a video of what you're looking to do? I've attached a video of what I'm seeing on my end.

I tried it and indeed it is an inconsistency in Storyline's Entrance and Exit animations. When adding a Zoom Entrance...and a Motion Path as Entrance on a slide...they play simulteanously. When you do the same with Exit animations... they play linear. So first the Motion Path and then the Zoom. That is a bug. Both should act similarly.
