problem with quiz review feature

Oct 16, 2013

Has anyone ever heard of this happening in Storyline?

Someone takes a quiz. When she goes back to review it, she sees a bar at the bottom that says ‘incorrect’ and has an ‘x’ to close the bar. When she clicks on that bar, she gets a score of zero.

Also, if she ignores that bar and just clicks the ‘next’ button, when she gets to the end of reviewing the quiz, it then gives her a failing score instead of the correct score she got the first time.

Should reviewing a quiz ever change the original score?

Thanks.

Hi Michelle,

A quiz review shouldn't change the initial score, but just to double check is this happening on every quiz question? Can you check the slide properties and let us know if they're set to "reset to initial state" on a revisit? You may want to test this within SCORM Cloud to see if your LMS is reading the review set up incorrectly. If within SCORM Cloud you are able to receive the same score after the review, that's something I'd suggest sharing with your LMS team.  If you'd like to share your .story file here with us we can test as well, especially if you're able to replicate the problem in SCORM Cloud and if you'd prefer to share privately, please send along to us here.
