I'm having a problem setting up a box to appear after a video.
I have the video in a layer and I want the text box to appear after the video has played. I can set the text box to appear when the video starts but when I change it to appear when timeline ends, the text box does not appear.
I have posted the story file below which will hopefully make more sense than me!
Yes, I had tried that previously but couldn't get the message in the layer to appear once the timeline in the video had completed which is why I thought putting it all in the same layer would help.
I have now went back and put the text into its own layer as you have suggested but I still can't get the text message in the new layer to appear once the timeline finishes.
Hi Michael! I made a couple of changes to your .story file to make the layer with text appear:
I shortened the timeline of the video layer to end at the same time as the video. There was about a 40 second difference.
I changed the layer properties for the Video layer to pause the timeline of the base layer so that it had its own unique timeline.
I also added a seekbar so that I could scrub to the end of the layer timeline for quicker testing.
To make synchronizing a little easier, you can have the video play automatically on the layer. By clicking on the base layer, the learner is consenting and preparing to watch the video. When a video plays automatically, it will be controlled by the slide (or layer) timeline. I didn't make this change in your file, but I thought it might be helpful to consider!
Attached is your modified file. I hope that helps!

Hi Crystal,
Thanks very much for the advice. Yes, that looks way much better and feels a bit more seamless.
I will use that file.
I really appreciate the support.
Thanks,
Michael
