I'm designing a course where I've created a number of custom layouts in the slide master and have come across a problem. I have a layout (with base and 2 extra layers) that I want to use as a basis/start point for a new layout so I go to duplicate the layout (or copy and paste) but nothing happens (ie. can't get a copy of it to amend).
The only way I seem to be able to do this is to create a new layout and then manually copy and paste all elements / layers into it.
I seem to be able to duplicate some of the layouts but not all - Any ideas really gratefully received.
Hi Alyssa, it seems to be limited to one particular file and only to certain layouts inside it. The only difference I can see is that some of the layouts have layers on them and it appears to be these ones that I can't get to duplicate. I've attached a screen grab as I can't attach the entire course as it has company specific data in it.
Hm, that's really odd. I tried recreating this issue by adding layers to a Slide Master layout, but I am still able to duplicate that layout in my file.
I know you mentioned you can't attach the entire course publicly, but could you share it privately with us here? Even just a sample file with company-specific data removed would work.

Thanks for letting us know what's going on. It sounds like you can't right-click on the custom layout and select Duplicate, is that correct?
I'm trying to recreate this on my end, but I still need your help. Can I have a few more details about your file?
