Problems with xliff and translations

I am importing xliff flies to create langauage verisons of a course but some text fields seem to not like special national characters.

The page titles in the layout view, which alos will show up in the course menu, are not shown correctly.

Also, text boxes are shown without their content:This one should look like this:

I guess that these two errors are not realated. The first one seems to be related to the national characters. I get the same result woth both czech and swedish. The second problem, well I have no clues...

Hi Peter...

Have you tried using another font, such as Articulate - to see what happens?

I had exactly the same with Czech and Polish, and had to standardise on Calibri rather than the company's corporate font.
