If I publish and email a course to a reviewer, the person cannot play the course. After extracting the zip file and starting "story.html5", either it is a blank screen or the program plays, but no player is there so no logo, menu, previous/next buttons, etc.

This problem probably happens because the person who opens the file does not extract the entire Zip and opens the HTML file from the still zipped directory.
So you have to extract the Zip directory completely, then open the *.html file.
Let us know if the problem is solved after that :)
Thank you for responding, Jonathan. At first they didn't extract the entire Zip and that yielded just a blank screen when clicking the html5 file. If do extract the entire Zip, that's when you get the two pictures attached - a big white spot, which if you click, plays, but no player included.
It also may depend on the published output and the security of the environment they're viewing it in. We always recommend viewing it within the intended publish environment such as the web server or LMS. Take a look at the article below for more details and suggestion on where to upload:
