I published a Storyline course for CD so I could view the course offline. I can open the Launch_Story.exe file on my PC, but I get an error message when I try to open it on a Mac. Error message says: "you can't open the application "Launch_Story.exe" because Microsoft Windows applications are not supported on macOS."
The error message is quite informative - the two systems are incompatible. Programs for PCs cannot be run on Mac computers. I'd point you at Parallels to run a virtual/sandbox copy of Windows on your Mac.
That makes sense for running the actual software, but I was hoping that after Storyline published the file, it would be in a format compatible with macOS or Windows. Are there any other ways for Mac users to view Storyline courses offline?

Hey Jesse!
If you want to run the Published for CD output on a Mac, try using the .html file instead of the .exe:
If you still run into trouble, add the folder where the course is located to your local Flash Player Security Settings.
Let me know if that does the trick!
