Publish to Word - Columns
Jul 26, 2012
Hi - I need to print a brief document with a thumbnail of each screen and a place (preferably to the right) for some notes. In presenter, I could use the PowerPoint handouts to get the job done. The only option I can find in Storyline gives me one page per slide with all of the content listed below. While that may be helpful at a later it is waaaayy too much for the intended audience of this document. Is there an easy way to get this result without taking a screen shot of each slide and building it manually?
Thanks!

Hi Elizabeth,
I'm not aware of a way to do this, but the word document is completely editable. You could just delete all the images. Here is a link to a blog post where the author describes how to delete the pictures using Find and Replace command: http://manismani.blogspot.com/2010/08/delete-pictures-from-microsoft-word.html
Also, here's a link if you would like to submit a feature request: http://www.articulate.com/support/contact/submit.php?form=feature
Hope this helps!

Thanks for your reply, Jill. This is helpful. It would actually be better if I could keep the images and delete all the text. Is there an easy way to do that through Word?
Hi Elizabeth,
You can do that within Storyline - when you go to Publish to Word, just uncheck the "show slide notes" box and you will only get just the images. Here's a screenshot:
Hope that helps!

Thanks - I've tried that, but even with both of those deselected I still get all of the captions. If it's an interactive slide, I also get all of the answer information, too. I often get one slide taking up about 1.5 pages by the time it's all done and that's with the screenshots set to medium. I'm sure I'll figure out another way.
Thanks!
I guess you'll just have to experiment! I found a link from Microsoft that lists all the things you can do with find and replace in case that will help: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/word-help/find-and-replace-text-and-other-data-in-your-word-2010-files-HA102350610.aspx?CTT=5&origin=HP005189433
Hope it helps!
