Thank you for your help Zola. I tried to direct them to the HTML 5 output, but I get the following message "Unsupported Browser, the HTML5 Player does not currently support this web browser. Click here to view this project using the standard flash player." Do you know if I'm receiving this because I'm using a first gen Ipad?
Thanks Graeme, but I keep getting the same message, which sends me back to the Articulate app. The app for some reason doesn’t play the video I inserted, even thou it plays the audio from the video (at times).
When the App first was introduced, it work well and automatically with all the SL output I produced. The most recent version seems to want to be downloaded every time you play a presentation; lots of screen flipping and tapping.
Sort of like installing Flash every time you wanted to look at a flash page on a PC, only faster...
For some reason the audio is not playing on some of my slides. Also, my slides with video do not play the video... does anyone know why?
Unless your iPad is running IOS 6, you will need to setup your course so the student is required to click NEXT. Safari in IOS 1 ... 5 requires a student interaction to play audio.
If you want non-IOS devices to transition slides automatically, you'll have to set every slide to manual advance, then add a trigger to every slide to proceed automatically if the device is NOT IOS OR IOS6+. Unfortunately, you'll need to add JavaScript to detect this and setup a Storyline variable to remember this condition. It's messy, but it can be done.
Thank you for your help Sam, but do to confidentiality I can't share the file. I ended up submitting a case with articulate support. I'll let everyone know what they came up with. Thank you again.
My problem was being caused by a server issue.... articulate posted the presentation on their server and the videos worked the way they were supposed to. Thank you all
Regarding Sam's question, if FLV or MP4 movies still won't play after uploading your published content to your server, it's likely that you need to add these MIME types to the server. Here's how:

I do that sometimes by giving my users access to the story_html5.html instead of story.html
This is assuming you selected the include HTML5 Output when publishing
As for resources, it is available in HTML5 but not in the articulate App

Hi
As an avid Ipad user I was delighted to find that Puffin browser (an Ipad app runns flash) how I am not sure.
There is a free version and a paid version I have attached a screen shot from my Ipad running a demo module,
I am testing it at the moment if it has no bugs I will link it to all my learners.

Hope this works for you!

Anyone have any work around for this?

When publishing the course, check HTML5, but don't check the Mobile Player option. It should play in Safari that way.
Thanks Sam, that worked!

Hey Cris!
See if the slides you're experiencing audio and video trouble with fall under some of the known HTML5 limitations outlined here.
Unless your iPad is running IOS 6, you will need to setup your course so the student is required to click NEXT. Safari in IOS 1 ... 5 requires a student interaction to play audio.

Thank you Sam, you're very helpful.
I tried the presentation in an iPad 3 with ios6, but I’m still having the same issue as the iPad 1, the video does not play even thou its audio does.
I love what storyline can do, but I was not expecting this much of a workaround to have the presentation in mobile.
iPads play only one media at a time. I have had to mix audio tracks to one track for Safari.
I only have one track in my slide that has an MP4 video with audio in it. There is only one track in the storyline timeline.
Send me a link to test maybe? Or a story file?

Was it a missing MIME/TYPE ?
what's a MIME/TYPE?
I asked articulate support what they thought it was,, but they have not answered... I'll let you know when they do.
Here's a starting point on mime types. If they're not configured, the file won't be served!

Yep.... that sounds just like what happened... good guess Sam!
Thank you for all your help guys.
