Publishing / Storyline 3
Feb 06, 2020
Hello,
In the publishing options for LMS, we have the following : Allow downloading for offline viewing.
I found on the publishing help this info :
"The accompanying option to Allow downloading for offline viewing isn’t currently supported for LMS content. Learners who attempt to view an LMS course offline will be prompted to reconnect to the internet."
So when is the offline mode working ? Can someone explain please.
thanks a lot

Hi there, Anne. Great question!
The Articulate Mobile Player's (AMP) offline viewing feature only works for web publishing. This is because an active internet connection is needed to submit and share information to the LMS.
Keep in mind that the AMP relies on Flash output, and since Flash is ending, we'll also retire AMP. This article covers how the end of flash affects articulate apps and courses!
If there's anything else I can answer, I'll be here!
Thanks a lot
As Flash is going down end of 2020. Does it mean that the publication of Storyline 3 files that are HTML5/Flash will still be working in 2021, or not? Do we need to change all in ONLY HTML5?
thanks for the help

Hey, Anne. Thanks for reaching back out, and another great question! 😀
Published courses that include HTML5 output will continue to work, but any Flash-only courses need to be republished to HTML5. I recommend publishing to HTML5-only to ensure a Flash-free experience from now and onward.
Thanks a lot for the advice
