We often want to show our e-Learning products to new clients, and want to do so offline on the iPad. However, when the content is viewed from our LMS (which makes it open in the articulate app) the offline viewing button isn't there.
I have checked the box that specifies 'allow downloading for offline viewing'.
Is there something I am doing wrong? Or something our LMS is disabling? Or another place I can upload content to have it available for offline viewing?
It may be that your LMS is not allowing you to view the content offline, as you'll see Articulate Online content doesn't currently support viewing content offline.
Some other free options to consider for hosting your content in another environment, that you could then download for offline viewing are:
Tempshare: This is a free service provided by Articulate for testing Storyline content. Note: Uploaded files will be deleted after 10 days.
Amazon S3: Amazon S3 offers free hosting with generous usage limits. If you go over your limit, you'll be charged a graduated fee.
Dropbox: Place your published output in the Public folder in your Dropbox account to share it with others.
Google Drive: Change the story.html file to index.html, and set the sharing permissions to Public. Here's how.
Tempshare works perfectly and saves me the long process of uploading the content to our LMS and then logging in as a student to view it. It also makes it nice and simple to share the content with colleagues.

Hi Mark! I have no update to provide as to weather this is a feature that they are going to allow or not. If you need to download for offline viewing, you could utilize the Articulate Mobile Player.

Do you know when we will be able to publish onto Articulate online and view off line on ipad. Is this something being worked on a the miniute.
