Publishing storyline slide to video

Jan 29, 2018

Hi,

I have a slide in Storyline that contains an mp4 file and narration. I want to publish the slide in video format using the new feature of "publishing to video", but when I publish it and open the video, it's a static image.

Has anyone had this problem, too?

Thanks!

Hi there, thanks for reaching out! Really sorry you're having trouble with the new publish to MP4 feature.

I just did a quick test, and I was able to successfully publish a Storyline slide with a MP4 video and a MP3 audio file on the same slide.

Could you share your file with our team here? I'd like to get this in the hands of our Support Engineers so we can get this sorted as soon as possible.

Hi all,

Great news!  We just released another update for Articulate 360, and included a few important fixes and new features, you'll find a synopsis of those in the release notes here.

The item you'll be interested in is how we fixed an issue where video output is just a static image when you publish for video a slide with Peek screencast

Just launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button for each application. Details here.

Please let us know if you have any questions, either here or by reaching out to our Support Engineers directly.

Hi there, Hannah.  Publishing to video does take longer than other publishing methods.  Would you be able to share your .story file here for me to test publishing?

With the diversity of processing power, resource allocation, and actual project content, it's tricky to set a baseline for expectations on how long publishing to video could take.  But I'm happy to try on my end and let you know!
