Publishing to video

Mar 17, 2019

I have been trying to publish a Storyline 360 course to video. It does the encoding up until the last slide and then hangs - forever.

My last slide has an exit when media completes trigger to close the course. I also tried with a timeline trigger - but it still wouldnt publish.

Is there a solution?

Hi Kate! Thanks for reaching out. We're seeing some trouble in Storyline 360 where publishing to video won't work when you're using an Exit Course trigger.

I'd recommend deleting the Exit Course trigger temporarily for the publish to video to render. Then, you can add that trigger back in for other types of publishing formats.

Let me know if that solves it!

Hi Kate,

Great news! We just released another update for Articulate 360 and included a few important fixes that you'll see in the release notes here.

The item you'll be interested in is:

Publishing a project as a video failed when there was an exit course trigger on a slide less than five seconds long.

Just launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button for Storyline 360. Details here.

Please let us know if you have any questions, either here or by reaching out to our Support Engineers directly.
