Publishing with video to play "in new browser window."

Aug 29, 2015

I am using Win 8.1 pro after a rollback from Win 10. Trying to publishing a story that contains a .mp4 video created in Camtasia Studio and I'd like to play it in a new browser window. I can publish it to play in the slide but when publishing with the "in a new browser window" set, it does not complete the publishing process.

The error message says ... "we're sorry, something went wrong with Articulate Storyline ... " I downloaded the "get log file" zip from the web to send in the log file for evaluation but the while the bat file runs it does not create a file to submit.

Anyone have any ideas ???

Looks like it is an issue with access to a folder. Msg says .... System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path is denied. The target folder is a Dropbox folder.

Hi Laz!

When creating, editing, and publishing Articulate Storyline courses, be sure you're working on your local hard drive (typically your C: drive). Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, such as file corruption, an inability to save changes, and loss of resources. See this article for more information.
