I created a 5 question quiz using the question bank. I want the user to be able to answer the question and then hitg forward to the next question. The last one is Submit, which takes me to the results page.
I want the user to be able to go back and forth to change there answers. But if I do not select a answer it wont' give me a "Invalid Answer" message? Only on the last one with the submit button.
It sounds like you may have set your questions up to "Submit all at once"? If so, that would prevent learners from seeing the Invalid Answer message as they technically haven't answered yet or validated their answer.
If you change to submit each one at a time, the learner would need to use the Retry functionality on the Results slide to attempt questions again or have all the question slides set to "Reset to Initial State" within their slide properties.
