Something strange is going on. I have several question screens that play fine. However, once they're in a question bank the presentation area for the entire course gets squeezed...resulting with about a 1/4 space on the sides. If I remove the question bank everything is fine again.
Hi, CK1 -- Many thanks for reaching out here! Can you confirm that you are seeing this behavior when you test your published output in the intended environment, as well? You may also want to try importing the file into a new file. If you are still having issues, you might want to check out this repair for Storyline.
It doesn't make sense. If I take the question screens out of the Question Bank then everything is fine. As soon as a Question Bank is used with those same screens, it shrinks the screen.
Attached are a couple of screenshots showing the slide on it's own and then within a Question Bank. When using a Question Bank the entire course will have the same 'squeezed' effect. This is so strange.
Attached is a stripped down Story file. If you preview the entire course using the Quiz bank, you'll see how the screen is condensed. However, when you take the same slide out on it's own and remove the Quiz bank it will play fine.
Hope you can figure this out. It's probably something really simple and obvious. :-)
I'm seeing the same behavior with the question bank slide and the regular quiz slide when I preview. I see from your images that you are seeing something different though.
Do you have the same layout applied to both slides?
I'd love for our support team to take a look at this. You can share with them here.
Yes, Victor and I have been troubleshooting. Turns out there's some sort of issue when using a top bar feature. In this case, I didn't use a Menu in the top bar...resulting in more real estate on top. Everything was fine until I used the Question Bank for some reason. With a Question Bank, the screen condensed... this happened for the entire project, not just the questions in the Bank.
However, if I add the Menu feature to the top bar, then everything is fine with or without the Question Bank.
It's not really a fix, but at least there's some sort of pattern to work around.
Hi CK1! Looks like you were correct! Thanks for working with our team and getting to the bottom of that. I see where the issue has been shared with our QA Team as well.

Yes, it acts the same way in it's intended environment.
The exact same scene doesn't have any issues from where I copied it from. There's seems to be some setting that isn't being transferred.

Hi CK1! Do you have a .story file that you would like us to take a look at?
My slides from regular quiz slide to quiz slide in a question bank look the same, so I'd like to understand what you are seeing.

I'm not seeing this behavior in my published output either.

I submitted a case.
I looked at your file and am getting the same issue. If you remove the Quiz bank you'll see the difference.
Thanks CK1. I must have misunderstood something. If you could share your case number, I'd be happy to follow along.
Case #00739384
Perfect! Thank you ;) Your name makes a tad more sense now.
Were you thinking I was a big Calvin Klein fan? :-)
I was thinking that was a throwback perfume/cologne line ;) Guilty!
Hi CK1! Just popping in to check on your case this morning and it looks like you are working with Victor and I will continue to follow along as well.

Interesting. Thanks for sharing your findings so far.
