Question Bank issues

Hi, I created an online module in storyline 1 which worked correctly. I transferred it over to storyline 2 when I upgraded and now it isn't working correctly.

When I preview the entire project and complete the quiz, it stops working partway through and on different questions each time. The 'hand' icon disappears and is replaced with a mouse arrow which cannot click any of the multiple choice answers and instead of a submit button at the bottom of the screen, it has 'next' and 'previous'

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Philippa

Hi Ashley,

Thanks for your reply.

Yes I am using update 5 of storyline 2 and I am looking at the quizzes in review mode. With regards to the other information, When I have published the story, I publish it to the LMS and send the zip file to a recipient to view and they have also had trouble with the quiz.

The story is saved within the articulate software which is held on my desktop so I think that is covered, and the name of my story is yyyy.mm.dd - storyname. story

Thanks

Philippa

Hi Philippa,

You mentioned sharing the zip file with a recipient, but did you upload that into your LMS as well? If not, and you're just testing it locally that could be a part of the odd behavior you're experiencing, which is described here.

By default Storyline should be installed on your local drive, but you'd want to confirm that's where the files were being saved to as well - as you can set a different location although we recommend working solely within the C drive.

If you'd like to share a copy of your .story file here with us, I can also take a look at it and see how it behaves.

Hi Ashley,

The story is branded as our organisation and is bespoke in terms of processes, so I am not sure that I feel comfortable uploading it on the website, but thank you for offering to take a look.

I will try some of the suggestions  that you have shared and go from there. Does it also make a difference if you are just previewing it in the system?

Thanks

Philippa
