Question bank selections
Feb 27, 2019
Hi all.
I've got a question bank that has (amongst others) two questions that tackle the same issue from different perspectives, and I wondered if it's possible to stop a question bank from randomly selecting both for the student. So if question A is selected, then don't select Question B, and the other way round, if Question B is selected, don't select Question A?
I know the short answer is to just use one question, but I'm hoping that by using two, I can randomise the quiz some more, and stop users from answering questions just by rote, and have to keep thinking to get the right answers.
As always, thanks in advance for any suggestions. :-)
Paul.

Hi Paul,
Forgive me if I am reading your query incorrectly.
Could you use more than one question bank?
So QUESTION BANK 1 has Question A and Question B, randomised to select 1 question (so only A or B is shown to the student).
Then QUESTION BANK 2 has your other questions.

Jeff.
As always, when someone else suggests something, it's obvious... Thanks Jeff, I will give that a go! :-)
